McLean Block

McLean Block has been a landmark on 3rd Avenue South in downtown Saskatoon since 1913.

It is located on Treaty 6 territory and the homelands of the Métis. The headdress that frames the building honours the first peoples of this land, and is a powerful visual reminder of our shared heritage as we walk the path towards reconciliation.

The terracotta ornamentation and cornice is described by Canada Historic Places  as an excellent example of commercial prairie vernacular architecture.

McLean Block received municipal heritage designation in 2006.

The facade and carvings were restored in 2014.

Mural by artist Emmanuel Jarus was added to the exterior north wall in 2016.

An ideal event rental space for weddings, celebrations, and gatherings of any kind.

A collective of private studios for independent practitioners and professionals.

90.5 FM Saskatoon’s community radio station.
